Legacy Primary School is truly one of a kind!
The administrators are certified/degreed educators with over 30 years combined experience. Our teachers are required to have their college degrees in education, not just training courses or certificates. Our teachers know how to teach! We maintain a low child-teacher ratio to ensure our students get the individual attention they need.
Our Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten, Enrichment, Preschool, and Intro to Preschool curriculum is developed in direct relation to the students we serve. We have a special partnership with Heritage Pointe Assisted Living, offering inter-generational learning, teaching, and collaborative activities. Our Community Service Projects give our students a sense of empathy and caring in a world that is seeing less and less of this every day! At Legacy Primary School, students work on more advanced skills than typical programs. This gives your child an educational edge and advantage by having more knowledge. It’s a learning experience like no other!
Curriculum
All of Legacy Primary’s programs are theme-based and adhere to accreditation guidelines established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Each weekly theme serves as the framework for organizing Literacy, Math, Art, Dramatic Play, Music, Science, Social Studies, Enrichment, and other activities. Our preschool and kindergarten curriculum is developed in direct relation to the students we serve. Rather than purchasing a “plastic” curriculum that is used year after year, we give thoughtful consideration to the individual children at our school by creating and changing our lessons as our students’ needs and levels change. A unique offering at Legacy Primary School is our Enrichment Program. Children enrolled in this program experience advanced learning of thematic study. Our Summer Exploration Program keeps children interested in learning through discovery during the summer months. All Legacy’s programs allow for choice and decision-making, while giving our students challenging and rewarding experiences.
